Pearse Rangers was originally established in the 1930's & enjoyed great onfield success culminating in 1960 when the club won the FAI Junior Cup & the AUL Division 1. In 1988 a group of local men decided to re-establish the club as a schoolboy football club to cater for the sporting needs of the youth of our locality. We spent most of our early years in the South Dublin Football League (SDFL), before moving all our teams to the Dublin District Schoolboys League (DDSL). To this day, all our teams compete in the DDSL. In 2006 we amalgamated with a local junior team, Liffey Wanderers. Both clubs became known as Liffeys Pearse FC. Despite some successful times under the "Liffeys Pearse FC" banner, both clubs decided it would be best to end the alamgation. In 2010 we returned to the name Pearse Rangers & again focused our attentions on providing football for the youth of our area. We have since established an academy at the club, in which we cater for children from 4 to 6 to prepare them early for their progression into league football. It has been a tremendous success. |
